Friends of Victa Cinema Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions.
1. Introduction
1.1. The Friends of Victa Cinema Loyalty Program ( “Program”) is a loyalty program that Victa Cinema operates. By enrolling and participating in the Program, you agree that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and are bound by them.
1.2. Victa Cinema reserves the right to amend, alter, withdraw, or terminate the Program, any feature or benefit (“Benefits”) or the Terms and Conditions of the Program at any time, subject to applicable law. Any such change may affect Benefits, which may have accumulated, as well as any future Benefits. Benefits of the Program are offered at the sole discretion of Victa Cinema.
2. Joining the Program
2.1. You can join the Program by completing the membership registration process available at www.friends.victacinemas.com.au or in person at the Victa Cinema, 37-41 Ocean Street Victor Harbor.
2.2 Membership to the Friends of Victa Cinema Loyalty Program is offered for an annual fee which is stipulated in the City of Victor Harbor Fees and Charges and provides immediate access to one complementary ticket and other offers, including discounted movie tickets, the ability to earn points on eligible purchases, invitations to special events, seasonal offers and rewards.
3. Participation in the Program
3.1. Program membership is open to individuals aged 14 years of age, or older.
3.2. Friends of Victa Cinema Loyalty Program memberships are valid for 12 months and must be renewed annually, with the applicable annual fee payment.
3.3. Members who do not pay their renewal fee by the due date will have their Membership automatically suspended. Any points or benefits cannot be accessed until the membership is renewed.
3.4. Friends of the Victa Cinema Loyalty Program Membership and Benefits are not transferable, not redeemable for cash and are non-refundable. Membership can be revoked by Victa Cinema at any time, in its sole discretion and without compensation, for any reason including but not limited to abuse or breach of any of the Terms and Conditions of the Program, any actions deemed by Victa Cinema to be contrary to Victa Cinema, the Program or the interests of its Members, affiliates or partners or in the case of fraud or misuse.
3.5. If a Membership is not used, i.e. no transactional activity such as purchasing tickets or redeeming Points, for a period of 2 years, Victa Cinema reserves the right to delete the account, and the member will forfeit any accumulated Benefits within that account.
4. Earning Points
4.1. Members will earn loyalty points (Points) for dollars spent, on eligible items, at the Victa Cinema when their Program Membership Card number is included in the transaction. The number of Points earned is based on the dollar amount spent and calculated as 1 Point per $1 spent on eligible items.
4.2. The rate at which Points are earned, the eligible transactions, and any associated restrictions are determined by Victa Cinema and may be modified from time to time.
4.3. Points may not be earned on certain excluded items or services, including but not limited to coffee sessions, movie vouchers/gift card purchases, complimentary or free tickets, private screenings, or other activities specified by Victa Cinema.
4.4. Members discount not available for Event, Flash Back Friday and Coffee Session screening tickets.
4.5. To earn Points, you must be a member at the time of the transaction, have presented or included your Membership card number or be signed in when making a purchase at Victa Cinema, or online. If you are not able to supply your Membership number at the time of a purchase at the Victa Cinema, you can supply personal details along with valid photo identification, such as a driver’s license to a staff member who will use reasonable endeavours to locate Membership details. If Membership details cannot be located, no Benefits will be earned or applied.
5. Discounts
5.1. Members will receive 10% off the price of their movie ticket for standard screenings when the Membership Card Number is included in the ticket purchase transaction.
5.2. The ticket discount does not apply to certain tickets/sessions/screenings, including but not limited to coffee sessions, special events, private screenings, vouchers, school groups, multi-tickets, fundraising screenings, meal deals, 3rd party movie ticket offers or promotional movie tickets.
5.3. Maximum One discounted ticket per movie session, per membership.
6. Redemption of Points
6.1. Points may be redeemed for movie tickets, selected food and beverage items, and other rewards that Victa Cinema may make available occasionally.
6.2. Members must have enough Points for the selected item and cannot use Points to partially pay for an item unless stated in a separate promotional offer, e.g., use of points to claim $1 and $8 movie tickets or for a specific points usage offer. Points can only be redeemed if the required redemption level is acquired prior to the redemption transaction.
6.3. Points cannot be redeemed on the same day in which they were earned. A Member’s Points balance will be reduced by the number of Points redeemed. Redeemable Items with Points listed in table below:

6.4. The table above correct as of 1 June 2024 and is subject to change.
6.5. The redemption process, eligible rewards, and any associated restrictions will be determined by Victa Cinema and may be modified from time to time.
6.6. Points cannot be redeemed for cash and have no monetary value.
7. Lost, stolen, or damaged Membership cards
7.1. Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately by notifying the Victa Cinema. When the Victa Cinema team is made aware of a lost or stolen Membership card, it will flag the card as lost or stolen and the associated account rendered inactive.
7.2. The Victa Cinema is not responsible for any redemption made by a third party using lost or stolen Membership details in the cinema or online. Members can collect a replacement card from the Victa Cinema upon paying a card replacement fee, refer City of Victor Harbor Fees and Charges. Valid photo identification will be required before a replacement card is issued. A card replacement fee will be payable for all card replacements or card re-issue requests. All Benefits that the Member was eligible to redeem, at the time Victa Cinema staff are made aware of a lost or stolen card, will be applied to the replacement card.
8. Communication and Privacy
8.1. By joining the loyalty programe, you agree to receive communication from Victa Cinema related to the Victa Cinema and Program, including promotional offers, updates, and other relevant information.
8.2. Victa Cinema will handle your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws and its privacy policy.
9. Modification and Termination
9.1. Victa Cinema reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the loyalty program, including these Terms, at any time and for any reason.
9.2. Victa Cinema may, at its discretion, cancel or suspend your membership and/or revoke your Points or rewards if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. Victa Cinema shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or any other damages arising out of or in connection with the program, including but not limited to the use or inability to use the Points or rewards.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
11.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
